The project

The violin shop of Tobias Pöhling is in a carefully restored historic building and holds a collection of vintage violins. For his online shop and rental business I photographed the instruments in the studio with controlled lighting and focus stacking. The images show the fine details and finishes of each violin.

In the shop I worked with natural light and close-ups. These images show the craftsmanship of the instruments and the work at the bench.
